It’s On Sale: Men’s Accessories at Exquisite Trimmings
Exquisite Trimmings is offering a 25% discount on all orders until Tuesday, May 28th. Just use the coupon code GENT25 at checkout. Included in the sale is a bunch of Drake’s accessories, including the cotton pocket square you see above, which is priced at $ 42. I picked up the same square from Exquisite Trimmings a few months ago and it works great as a summer accessory.
It’s On Sale: Lyonstate Store Credit
UrbanDaddy has a promotion right now with online menswear retailer Lyonstate. For a limited time, you can purchase $ 150 worth of store credit for $ 100, or $ 300 worth for $ 200. The promotion is only good on full priced items, but that effectively gives you 33% off most things in store.

It’s On Sale: Tellason Denim
For a limited time, you can take 20% off at North River Outfitters with the checkout code matchbook. The code seems to work on everything except Aldens. That includes the Tellason jeans you see here, which have already been discounted to $ 165. With the code, these come out to $ 132, with free shipping to boot.
Note, I have no experience with Tellason’s jeans outside of handling them in a store. They seemed nice in person, but as it goes with clothing, you don’t really know the quality of something until you’ve personally worn it for a while. On the upside, Tellason gets good reviews on Superfuture, where many denim enthusiasts hang out, and Woodlands has measurements for one of the models. You’ll want familiarize yourself with the brand before buying, as North River Outfitters will only offer exchanges or store credit on returned sale items.
3Sixteen Sample Sale (in Los Angeles)
One of my favorite brands of denim, 3Sixteen, is having a sample sale this Friday and Saturday in Los Angeles. The event will be held at 144 N. La Brea Avenue from noon until 7pm both days. Cash and credit card payments will be accepted. Word is that they’ll have jeans, shirts, outerwear, and accessories, all discounted between 50-80% off retail price.
My favorites from them are their SL-100x jeans, which is a slim straight-legged model made from a 14.5 oz raw selvedge denim. Above is a pair that one of the company’s founders, Andrew Chen, wore for about a year and hand washed every two to three months. Beautiful stuff.
It’s On Sale: Allen Edmonds Factory Seconds
Allen Edmonds is having a sale on all factory second shoes and closeouts, with discounts ranging from 15% to 40%. That puts their black Park Avenue oxfords at $ 199 and brown Strands wingtips at $ 229.
As many readers may know, factory seconds are shoes that didn’t pass quality control, but the “defects” are usually incredibly minor (like a small nick at the heel or something). Most of the time, you can’t tell why the shoe was rejected, even on close inspection.
There are other deals, of course, but you’ll have to inquire. To do so, call one of Allen Edmonds’ outlet stores. We usually refer people to the one in Brookfield, Wisconsin, who you can reach at (262) 785-6666, but you can find other outlet stores by using the store locator at Allen Edmonds’ website.
When calling, you may also want to have their website ready so you can easily look up the names of models.
Viberg Sample Sale
Viberg’s first ever sample sale will be held at StyleForum this month. First batch of products goes up tomorrow, and the sale will include collab pieces, sample leathers/ soles, handcut patterns, cordovan, etc. Prices will start at $ 300 and more details can be found here.

It’s On Sale: Allen Edmonds Wingtips
It’s probably just my personal preferences, but I don’t think all wingtips look great with a suit. I tend to favor wingtips with closed lacing, like the Allen Edmonds McAllister above, just because the lines look a bit sleeker when paired with a suit that’s business appropriate. While not as formal as a plain captoe, it would still look good in any environment where a jacket and tie is required.
Allen Edmonds is currently having a sale on select models, offering 15%-30% off. The McAllister is on sale for $ 249, down from $ 345 with free shipping. Sale ends Monday, April 29th.
It’s On Sale: Isaia at STP
The discounter Sierra Trading Post is best known for their outdoor goods, but they’ve also got a few high-end surprises in their stock, like Isaia suits and sportcoats. I’ve noticed that they’ve gotten in about twenty models lately, which have been added to a pretty extensive stock. The sportcoats mostly retail for around $ 2500, and are marked half price at STP. Sign up for STP’s Deal Flyer service, and you’ll get regular coupons which should knock that down a further 25-35%. A great deal for one of Italy’s finest ready-to-wear makers.
